Beat the Devil surrounds a quartet of swindlers who are awaiting a ship in Italy. When the ship is ready to sail it will take them to Africa where they plan to buy land which is rich in uranium. AS they wait, they meet more people who inadvertently get pulled into the scheme. In the end, will the schemers get the uranium rich land or will the land fall into the hands of its rightful owner?
Beat the Devil was directed by John Huston and contains a star-studded cast including, Humphrey Bogart, Jennifer Jones, Gina Lollobrigida, Peter Lorre and Bernard Lee. In addition to an all star cast, the script was written by John Huston and Truman Capote.
